Precincts are often allocated additional patrols during times of high crime or civil strife. The Prefect patrol consists of four teams of five patrolmen, each equipped with the high powered M&M UrbanForce P1200 Power Shield, an M&M P10 Stun Tonfa and an M&M X70 Stun Blade.
It also contains four teams of support patrolmen for dealing with armed aggressors. These are equipped with the UrbanForce P1200 Power Shield, an M&M P10 Stun Tonfa and the M28 Shotgun with various ammunition.
